Default complete air ride system.. 61 buick

ok guys......someone has to have one or enough pieces so i can make it work

i have acquired a 61 invicta bubble top which im going to make into a driver..........i need an air ride system for this car.............4600.00 new from air ride with the sensors.........help who has or knows or something alittle more reasonable...................this is a second project to my camaro and the wife ain't happy

I bought the bracketry and bags from Air Ride and made my own manual controls. It really isn't very hard to do. My valves are made by Asco and look almost exactly like the Big Red valves.

I picked up the tank used on eBay, the valves new on eBay, the gauges from Viair, the switches from suicidedoors.com. I got my fittings and lines from Fastenal. I have a relay that I can use to power up my compressor and valves and/or turn them off. I would take the time to solder and heat shrink all connections etc. just from a reliability standpoint.

In my opinion, if you are going to try to stay on a budget, it is worth it to buy their CoolRide, but for a cruiser I would make the controls setup myself.

I would recommend a 4-way system.

I wouldn't buy all the fancy electronic controls and sensors just use the manual paddle valve controls and gauges I have used both and prefer the simple controls they are a lot less headaches. I would also recommend pumbing as much of it as you can with hard steel line, you will have a lot less leaking problems, if you check the specs on the plastic lines it actually has a leak down rate.

I don't have your parts you are looking for, but I share your vision...

I am more of a Chevy man and have always loved the '61-'62 bubble top Impalas, and had always wanted one.....Well untill I went to a garage sale in the waaaay back 40 and the G-sales owner had a half covered up car in his carport that very much resembled my wanted Impala...I got to talking with him about it and he pulls back the cover on this pristine '61 Invictica, blue with white guts, loaded to the gills, second owner, bla bla bla...I can only describe it as an "UP-UP-UPSCALED version of the Impala"...Man these things have so many cool pieces of stainless on them!!!!...I worked on that guy for the next 3 years, with respect of course,and this summer it paid off...

I have mild plans for it including some safety suspension upgrades like disc brakes and a decent lower, adding some 18"/19" big rims/tires and a decent stereo and then DRIVING THE PISS OUT OF IT!!!!!!!...But before that gets done I need to finish my '67 Chevelle 2-DR Wagon, Corvette suspended/Pro-Touring project, a 2000 Extreme Blazer Typhoon wanna be project, and a numbers matching resto on a '67 Camaro RS/SS 396 ragtop...

COOL CAR DUDE!!!!!!!
