Do you have a reasonably good guess at the total weight and whether it's distributed much differently than 56% front/44% rear? Also, what sort of driving? Hard cornering generally uses stiffer springs than dragstrip, cruising, or most folks' daily-driving.
What's your own tolerance for a stiff-legged ride?
I'm guessing that the coilovers will attach directly to the axle here - somewhere in the 100 - 125 lb/in range ought to work unless you're serious about the cornering (150 & up in that case). 100 - 125 lb/in should give you a ride frequency of 1.3 to 1.45 Hz, 150 is about 1.6 Hz. OE ride frequency on most coil-sprung '78-'87 G-body cars was about 1.2 - 1.3 Hz as a point of reference.
Stiff springs do not necessarily mean harsh (harsh is mostly a shock problem).
