In this months Camaro Perf they looked at various contol arms. The Hot rods to Hell Arms looked really well built and functional. Anyone have any feedback on them?

I don't have any feedback on the arms, I have never used them. But the article was great with all the different parts available out there.
I did like the quarter panel tech on Tonys car (Karma). I need to swap mine and that will be a big help as I have never doen that before. (trying to decide if I should farm it out or not).
The whole magazine is great. There is something usefull to me in every issue.

Just to be clear.. we didn't test or evaluate any of the arms. We only put out all the choices that are on the market.

Blew my mind that there are 14 companies making Camaro control arms..

It would be nice to have an evaluation on all 14! I bet you would have a lot of fun putting them to the test.

One important factor on control arms is the built in caster gain which is different between the brands. It's sad you missed that information.

When I got my arms that was important since I already had done the Guldstrand Mod. I went with Speed Tech since they had the least caster gain from the ones I was looking at. I ended up with 8 degrees anyway and that is a little to much, more than that and it will be clearance problem between the tire and inner fender.

Testing 14 companies control arms in a fair and scientific manner would be a HUGE undertaking. It's not like testing tires. The arms would have to be tested on the same car and since installing the arms would require alignment and such you couldn't test more than one a day.. every day.. for fourteen days. lol

It was more of a guide to put all the info from the companies in one place where you could compare construction methods and design considerations before spending your cash.
