A '69 all the way. Daily, weekend, track attack, w/e. Doesn't matter. A properly engineered pro-touring car should be able to do all the things that a 2010 can and more.
Just like a truck, I wouldn't buy a new one because I can make an older one just as nice with a little work and research. Once I do my motor swap in my '85 Silverado, it will beat my dad's '06 GMC shamelessly in every category of performance, utility, and reliability. It will also burn cleaner to keep the hippies happy.
