need ideas on temp engine setup/

car is coming along and i want to get it running so i can drive it around shop and to and from body shop next door.im looking for a aluminum intake and eldebrock electric choke carb.i would also like a thumpre cam just for the sound.this would be a temp setup till i get in better shape.should i just get these items from summit?do you guys have any thoughts for me?pros or cons.it will be put on a 327 chevy with a powerslide glide.aso who makes a decent cheap header

Cheap intake and headers on craigslist. Or new from summit. Carb too. E-bay might be a good source for new and or used parts too.
Cam? Summit has decent prices. I'm not sure what the specs are on the cam you want. But if it's only temp. you can use any one your heads(springs) will take.
