Didn't see that one coming. I think that's a pretty cool deal. It means that Saturn will continue on.

I'm excited to see how this turns out.

Good to see Saturn will remain a US company for now. Another thing is I still don't see how GM does not think Pontiac is one of its core brands either? The execs must be hitting the crack pipe too much.

Well... after reading up a little more, looks like the plan is to sell smaller import cars though the Saturn network of dealers. Not sure what to think about that.

It will be a very sad day when/if Pontiac goes away. I don't understand how Buick gets a hall pass and Pontiac goes to the principals office to be expelled.

Does Buick have that much (if any) better sales than Pontiac? I have no idea what the stats are or where to find them.
It would be nice if they could keep both and dump Hummer, Saab, Saturn and clean up a few other things in house. Maybe they will come through this ok.

Yeah, you're right on the old folks. It reminded me of a northern part of Seattle here called Ballard. It is FULL of old Swedes. I am also a Swede. Maybe in another 20 years I'll need a huge Buick for cruising the strip there? Racing all the wheel chairs in an Estate Wagon complete with genuine imitation wood grain decals on the sides!

Default Buick

GM will keep Buick because it sells very well in China.
