Boyd Red has a blue hue to it deep. Torch red has an orange hue to it and is bright. Read the Red Witch thread in this forum. Several reds were discussed there.

My car is Viper Red, check the pictures if you want too. It is supposed to have a more orange tint to it, but honestly its Red in all aspects of the word, and have a nice color in and out of the light. But they are pretty close. My vote is biasly Viper
You can also look at the Dodge Truck red, it might be a middle ground. Neds 69 Camaro on here has the Truck red.

wow i was in the paint looking at the painter waiting to mix my red.if you look at the paint chip books go to a painter that has a booth with corrective lighting in it. took me 2-3 hours to pick a red. 2005 honda rally red.i just posted pics in proj updates, check them out.i know what your going through,i was set on viper red till i saw it in the booth to much orange for me on this car.
If you want to see Torch Red, just look at 1997-2002 Corvettes painted red, that's the color. As Musclerodz indicated, it has more yellow in it (so it's definately more "orangey") and less intense than Viper Red, which contains less yellow.
I would say that if the plan is to do red with white Z28 stripes, then Viper red is probably a better choice, IMHO.
Another really eye-popping red is currently being used on the 2005-6 Audi A4.
The red used on the 2001-up honda S2000 is also a very nice red.
1973-74 Pontiac Buccaneer Red, as used on the TransAm at that time, was also a really great red.
Also, IMHO, the only way you should judge the color is outside, in natural sunlight.
Just some ideas.
