Default The market for '69 Camaros can't be this bad?

I just started looking at '69's so I'm not real familiar with prices but this seems low.

Am I right?

Seems too good to be true. That car doesn't look like it's dropped 3~3.5 inches as advertised.

I think they are priced right. A 350 small block, TH350 car with some wheels and a Covans dash, $25K seems on the money to me. Nothing mentions show winning paint, crisp new restoration, so one can assume it is a 5 to 10 footer. Sounds right to me. Same for the clone car, $25k for a SS350 clone with "paint in great shape" is ok.

I have a RS / SS Big Block car with a 4 speed. Mild PT treatment with Vintage Air, TT2s, Wilwoods, Hotchkis, 18" wheels, etc with KILLER paint coming in and it will be for sale for only $40K. Surely it is worth $15K more then either of them.

What we are seeing now is healthy prices, not STUPID prices we were seeing. The market has adjusted a bit. Time to start buying again.

Thanks Frank.

Here's that other one you mentioned priced the same.

I was thinking $30K, but it makes sense what you're saying; healthy but not stupid prices.

At the prices you can get these cars for now, it has to of put a hurt on those reproduction bodies.

Why buy a body for $15k, when you can get a whole car for 10k more?

I agree Mark.

Dynocorn has an interesting decision to make it seems.

Wait it out or reduce their prices...

Unhappy

I think a lot of it has to do with people hurting for money as well.
Lots of people are without work and need to pay bills, so unfortunately, they have to sell their toys.
I think the time to buy is now though.

Why scams? I seriously doubt that... These cars need to be, and are, coming back to reality prices.... it ain't 2006/2007 anymore with everyone sitting on a couple hundred grand of play money in the form of the home equity ATM....

This is equivalent to the guy who is actually listing his house and pricing it correctly, not wishing it was 2 years ago.

Good time to be a buyer Skip!

Thanks Dave.

I'm also interested in opinions from people here:

Do you think prices on 1st gen Camaros have bottomed out yet?

I would watch the auctions on ebay. If they are meeting reserve on a regular basis, then I would say yes. It's not different than the housing market. It really depends on the price range. The really solid project cars won't get any cheaper in my opinion. I paid 14k for a ultra solid complete 307 car in 06 and would gladly shell out the money again today.
