Question Netbooks?

Anyone have one? And if so, what brand and are you happy with it?
How's the internet connection? (This is the main reason I want to get one.)
I am looking at a HP - Mini Netbook with Intel® Atom™ Processor N270. (I usually buy all Sony products, but their version has WINDOWS VISTA operating system and people are saying that it is crap on that type of machine. The HP has WINDOWS XP operating system.)
It's got a SSD, solid state drive, which is better than a regular hard drive for what this is used for; traveling, carrying around.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!

My daugther has the HP and she really likes it. She does use it mostly for college school work, e-mail, social networking. It needs and external drive to load applications. If you are going to use it for what it is designed for I think it is very nice. The compact size is nice. I think the keyboard on the HP is a little larger than other netbooks.

They are ok but they lack horsepower to run big apps. There is a new computer coming out in about a year or less, and it's from an american company that my buddy works for and it will be given away with phone service in about a year or less, and it's much like a netbook, but better and free. It's going to take over your phone system.
