Default New Moser 9" Housing/Axles 64-72 Chevelle

I have a new Moser 9" with 31 spline axles for 64-72 Chevelles. Never used, never even mocked up. Trying to buy a new house so the chevelle project has to go. Summit has it for $979 plus freight.

Part # MSR-9BGJBBAGAXX

Asking $900.

Location: Hesperia, Ca

PM me if interested.

Thanks, Dale

The only thing left is basically the body and frame. It's a 138 car so I'm sure its worth more over at chevelles.com. Its a CA car that has been sitting since the 80's.

Here is a link to exactly what it is when I ordered it.

I haven't done anything to it. The housing and axles still have oil on them to protect the bare metal.

The link shows that the housing ends are for stock drum brakes... They were ordered for the large GM disc pattern though.

Rear end is limited to 64-67 a-body only not 68 -72 a-bodys.
Good luck with your sell I wished it would have worked because I'm in orange county.

I may be wrong... I am not a Chevelle specialist by any means, but I believe the 64-66 has a coil spring pad that allows for the coil spring to "bolt in place" with a plate that sandwiches the bottom coil with the coil pad. Where as 68-72 the spring simply sits on top of the pad. I know 67 is a transition year. I will try to dig up my receipt on this thing to determine the actual part number that I ordered.

I used that link to show what it was but I just searched by year/make/model.

I went round and round when I ordered it, and I believe the two styles of spring pads were the only difference.

I will check my paperwork tomorrow at work.

bump for a good deal

72 monte this would be a great set up as it will let you run a wider wheel.

It will fit you car with no problem.

'64-'67 rears are narrower than '68-'72. Other than that they will bolt-in.
