Default Big thanks to Steve Rupp

Had an opportunity to ride shot gun in Bad Penny at the Del Mar Good Guys auto cross coarse. That's has got to be the most fun you can have in 30 second. Steve has done an unbelievable job sorting her out. I could never imagine that 40 year old iron could handle so good.

Thanks again Steve.

My boys and I really appreciated it.

Al

I was there watching the runs. Bad Penny certainly was the car to beat and had the best times when I was there.

That was my first time checking out the autocross, Man that looks like fun! Steve and Nick were pretty close all weekend, but Steve laid down the fastest lap. I was really impressed by Mary Pozzi, she can flat out drive! The Rat Rod Truck killed the cones too. fun times, nice weather as always.

The only bummer was getting nailed by the California Highway Patrol on my way home, They are doing their part to boost the cali economy?? Does anyone pull a trailer at 55??

Wow, that must have been something. Heck, I would have been happy to be there to see it.

No problem... happy to give rides.

To be honest though, there's not much left on the car that's 40 years old.. lol

As for Penny the new parts worked crazy good.. the car was super stable and now has the best steering of any car I've ever driven. Very precise and easy to work.

The suspension ended me running 17-inch rims so I had to run my 18s with my R888 street tires. Since they are 100 treadwear it was a bit unfair, but Penny had the fastest time of the event by a long shot. In fact only four people got into the 29s and three of them were driving Penny..

Very happy right now and I will work on some video. Was great seeing everyone.
