Fesler Billet Dimple Dies anyone interested
Hey guys we are thinking about making a set of Billet Dimple dies and wanted to know if we do what sizes you guys would like and what price we need to try and hit for a set. We would sell them one by one or a kit
let me know what you think

Its a tool used to put holes in metal to make it stronger, some guys use it for looks as well.

Their is a handful of companies already making them. it would be a very limited sale item. You would have better luck selling them to the aircraft sheetmetal shops as it is a common use item in that industry. I know, we have had some made in the past for doing instrument panel overlays.

Chris
I would be interested BUT
There are several guys making them now.
The offroad guys use them for everything, not just the aircraft guys would be interested (contrary to musclerodz statement).
How about some different shapes (other than round)
Most dimple die sets are not home garage friendly
1. large dimple=large press
2. Price, hard to swallow for a couple of dimples at home.
Can you compete in price of the guys already making them.
or
Can you make custom shapes for a competitive price, hardned of course.
A standard set of dimples in an oval shape would sell, and not just to the Ford guys.
I would buy individual dies to start my collection, round to start, but now you have my mind running...thinking of cool shapes with no sharp corners that might crack under pressure, shapes shapes shapes...

That is what we were thinking, making a few different sets and we are looking into the prices now. I will keep you posted on this

I stand corrected, but not in the offroad biz either. Now oval might be cool, no one I know of making those.

Sorry Mike
I didn't mean to 'correct you'...
I run in the offroad race (ie Baja, SCORE) fringe circles and the Offroad (Rock Climbing, and off road four-wheeling) circles among others. And I thrive on the fabrication stuff, so sometimes I've seen things waaayy before others even knew it existed.
Standard dimple dies are old school but I like them alot, maybe some new shapes would add some interest.
