Default my DSE experience

Well, I got my car back today. I couldn't sleep last night, woke up at 4 am and couldn't fall back asleep...
I sent it to DSE about 2 months ago because I decided I wanted a big block put in and wanted them to do it. I talked to Kyle and he said he had a 534ci motor he had built for one of his projects but never used it. We worked out a deal and they started taking mine apart. Most people would have just put the motor in, bolted a set of Hooker headers to it and called it a day, not the guys at DSE. They first dynoed the motor to make sure everything was good, put it in the car and fabricated a custom set of headers, complete fuel system and all necessary wiring. They installed the motor atleast four times to make sure everthing was right. They set driveline angles, oil pan clearance ect. They even sanded primed and painted the motor in their paint booth! Upon final assembly, they had everything done and when they fired it to test it, it had a small oil leak at the rear main, this was 5 pm friday. I had a truck scheduled to pick it up at noon on sat. Klye told me that all the guys wanted to get it done and they stayed all night until 5 am sat to fix it. At 7 am on Sat, they fired it and it still had a small leak. They pulled the motor back out and took it to the machine shop and it ended up being a rear main adapter that was faulty. They got it back from the machine shop and assembled everything and it's PERFECT! These guys are true car guys, not just a shop that wants to do their 8-5 and go home. I cannot thank Kyle,Jay and all the guys at the shop enough. They worked their butts off to make sure everything was perfect. I got my car today, drove it and it is bad ass. There was not one scuff mark nor dirt on my car. These guys are the best.
I will post more pictures of the fuel system and undercarriage tomorrow.

Wow, that is the cleanest, most refined, and most thought out engine compartment I have ever seen! They are truly amazing at DSE. I wish they would open a shop in Texas!

Default Car

Sw, that looks great. I agree, Kyle and crew at DSE are the best. They go above and beyond. That motor should liven it up some. I saw your car at DSE and saw Jay painting the motor. They are very careful and build a car as if it was their own. I'm happy for you. Keep the pictures of that bad boy coming, oh Black is so cool!

Kyle has it. I think he is going to put it in Stacy's '69 daily driver.. You may call him and see.
