Default New updated trunk latch kit

We have updated or MI 800 electric trunk latch kit for 67-69 Camaro/Firebird. We are now using a factory style trunk lid catch that has been modified to fit the latch. Our new catch is also zinc plated to match the latch. The plating also eliminates chipped paint like the originals.

SOLD OUT

We have lowered the price from $169 to $149 for the 1 kit remaining that we have available for shipment at this time. When they are gone so is the new lower price.

The new catch is pictured in the lower left and the complete kit is beside it.

You can purchase thru our online store or by giving us a call at 940-391-9002.
Thanks,
Shannon

Thanks. It is a very functional piece, especially for those who run a fuel cell with the filler in the trunk. You still have the ability to use the key to open the trunk or use the switch to open it. If you have shaved the lock and want a cable pull set up in case of battery power loss, I have a simple sketch that I can supply with the kit that shows a way to do that.

I have not checked the Novas or the Chevelles. GM used the same latch on a bunch of cars in the 60s. The issue is that this latch is thicker and taller than the factory ones. You might have to do some trimming on the deck lid where it mounts and then it might be too tall to fit.

I would like to have the chance to check some of these cars and see if they would fit.

Well my car is in a million pieces and I'm in Canada so I can't bring you my car, but if you need any parts to compare, test, etc. I'm not doing anything with the trunk for a while if you want any parts sent over to try. I know that's not as good as having the car there, but anything I can do to help as I am very interested in these kits. PM if there's anything I can do to help and please keep us updated if you find out that it fits Novas also.

Thank you to all who have purchased these kits.

This is one of my favorite products that we have available. Easy to install and very practical, especially in today's modern automotive world with gadgets galore.

We are down to 5 kits left at this special low price.

Thanks.
