Digital camera ? functions not working correctly

We have a fuji finepix f30 and has always been taken well care of etc and never abused, but today I went to use it and it will only zoom out and not back in for some reason. I also had the problem of some other buttons not working correctly so I tried removing the battery and reinstalling and fixed all probems but the zoom coming back in after you zoom out. So can any give me insight on this I really wanna keep this camera for least another year and half. Brandon
