Default C6 vette wheels on 69 Camaro??

Hey guys, found a set of C6 vette wheels for sale with these specs.

Wheel Size Front- 18x8.5
Rear- 19x10

Wheel Offset Front- 56mm Rear- 79mm

Wheel Lug Pattern- 5x4.75

I am thinking they don't have enough backspace. Opinions?

Offset and backspace are not the same measurement with the former being metric and the later being English. The offset is the measurement from the centerline of the wheel to the wheel mounting surface (WMS), typically measured in millimeters (mm) and positive towards the outer lip of the wheel or negative towards the inner lip.

Backspace is just the measurement from the inside of the inner lip of the wheel to the WMS. For the C6 5-spoke wheels, those measurements are 6.84" and 8.68" front and rear respectively by my measurements.

Wheel adapters are generally required in order to reduce the backspacing and get it in line with something more compatible with first gen F-bodies. The rears are going to typically require a mini-tub, flared quarters, or something to fit without hitting anything.

Default Thanks Scott!

I am running a 21st Century sub so no spacers were required. They bolted right up. The rear has about 1.5 inches of tub on each side and the rearend was built to width, so no spacers on the back either.

I think Jake's front sub and AME both take a stock offsett Corvette wheel but I am not positive. Give them a call.

Lot of questions on the C6 and C6Z06 rims and tires. They are a nice looking and strong rims that are really cheap. I paid premium dollar for mine because they had just come out in 2006 when I got a set. Check out www.corvetteforum.com in the for sale section....lots of deals.
