Default Hurricane Rita is no joke!!!

I hope you are prepared for what Rita just turned into over the night. One of the largest hurricanes ever to enter the Gulf in history.
-Category 5!!
-175mph with gusts up to 200mph!!!!!!!
-50ft storm surge!!!
Good luck if your staying there!!
If any of you have seen the movie "The day after tomorrow" then these hurricanes will remind you of that.
Good luck to any of you that are staying down there.

She must have weakened. Weather.com now says 135 mph cat. 4. Let's hope she continues to die down.

I pray that the storm calms down. I live in South TX. and I mean south. I can spit into Mex. Thank God I have a Garage for my car I would be laying down on top of it to protect it.

There's a high pressure center over Texas that is making Rita change direction a bit. It's projected to hit between Galveston and the Louisiana border. It also caused the storm to weaken, but it's still expected to pick up steam again. It did before.

Yeah, I watch too much weather channel.......
