Default 502 Crate Motor

Hi All,

I currently have a 69 / 70 427 / 454 in my Camaro. starting to use a little oil. So I am thinking of going with a crate 502. it seems to be a good change, alot should bolt right on, I hope.

Any guys out there that can give any input on if they are happy they went with the 502?

Of course the 572 looks great, but I don't want to change the hood, it looks like I would have to. And maybe change fuel lines, and risk some things not bolting on.

So far, it just seems to be a good bang for the buck. And the change out seems to keep the price down as well.

Any thoughts?

Thumbs up

I've seen a lot of people go with the 502 crate. Although, the 427 is quite a nice engine as well.
I don't think you could go wrong with either one. But a 502 is a nice engine.
GOOD LUCK!!!

I have no info on the 502 for you but I'm just throwing my vote in for keeping the 427. You don't see them any more I they were great motors. I'd build it up personally.

If you are changing due to oil consumption forget the 502. They are known oil burners.
