Default Manual steering with Steering Quickener?

72 Monte, front end lightened about 250# 245/60/r15 tires.

I've got a new manual steering box, 5.1 turns lock-to-lock

I'm eyeing a 1.5 Steering Quickener, which would give 3.4 turns LTL.

With a DIY welded up bracket they can be placed inline with the steering shaft.

Bad idea?
