Default Front Susp Q's from a greenie...

I'm used to trick drag springs, 90/10's and no sway bar so I could use some insight...

Car- G body station wagon, 406 small block, XE266 cam and a couple other goodies, stock TH350 and 2.41 7.5 rear. I cut the springs to give me a 3.5" front and 3" rear drop, AGR 12:1 steering gear box, 16x8" 90's T/A GTA wheels, 245-50/225-50 16's. When the suspension's all done I will be upgrading to 17's. This is kinda a bit by bit do it in stages deal and my goal with this car is to be as low budget as possible while trying to get decent performance.

I wanna take the next step in front suspension as the frame has settled down to the snubbers and I get a rebound when I hit bigger dips in the road, and I'd like to do a brake upgrade while I'm in there.

2" dropped spindles for the G body/S10 are fairly inexpensive and every so often a used set appears on ebay. Speedway motors sells front springs for the metric (G body) chassis in different heights and weights. Any body know the stock height and weight of a G body spring?. Speedway's springs come in 800-1300 lb ratings. I'd like to go with the 2" spindle and a 1" spring for 3" total drop. Speedway also has tubular upper control arms for a very low price, thought I'd grab a pair while I'm in there. They come in different lengths, 8", 8.5", 9". With a car lowered in this manner is there any advantage to changing control arm length?

I looked into the B body spindle/brake swap for G body cars but there seems to be enough negative opinions I think I'll steer clear from that route. I saw somewhere on the net about a year ago that somone cut down their G body rotors to act as hubs for late model 12" Camaro brakes. I haven't been able to find that info again since. Are there any disadvantages to doing this? Wondering why more folks don't do this and there isn't more info on the web about it?? Seems pretty straight forward, maybe having caliper brackets made up may be my biggest hurdle?

Thinking of upgrading to a disc Mustang 8.8 rear in the future but I'll ask more about that when I get there.

Thanks for any help you can give!
