Default 2006 Cts Seats In 68 Camaro

Hi to all. This is my 1st post on an amazing site. Wanted to know if the cts cadillac seats would be a good fit in my 68 camaro conv. ? I like the idea of the seat belts being intergrated in the seats. Any thoughts?

Welcome, Rich. I don't know if they would fit, I guess I'd be concerned about the width of the base and the height of the bottom seat cushion. Do you know those measurements?

i would think that you could make a new base or adapt an old one the width of the seat pan should be fine

To be honest I drive a '05 CTSV and the seats are going to be too tall in the seat area. The roof line on a CTS is very high unlike the early Camaro. Your head will be in the headliner.

They will fit, you will just have to cut the brackets to make them sit lower..

I may have another option. I have a '68 Camaro Convertible, C4 IRS, Art Morrison C5 sub-frame and C6 LS2/T56. Primarily for saftey reasons I wanted the shoulder haraness. My daily driver is an '04 CTS

I bought some Sebring Convertible seats that have the integral seat belt but also articulate and slide forward to allow easy access to the rear.

The car's at a shop so I don't have pictures but here's a link to a guy that put them into a Corvair and how to do it (http://www.corvairkid.com/sebring.htm). I have an extra wiring harness if you're intersted in this path.

Good Luck!
