Default Opinions: 2000 454 EFI

I have found a 2000 454 with attached 4L80E that I can pick up for 2500. Would this be a decent swap for my 65 Chevelle? I would do a cam, headers, and converter swap before it went into car. Currently I have a 350 with Dart Iron Eagle heads, lunati cam, TCI T350 w/ 3500 stall and a 12 bolt with 4.10's.

Not sure what kind of power my car is making now. It had run 12.20's on hoosier tires off the foot brake in its current state.

I guessed I would have about 4500 in the swap after it was done. Or would I be better off just building the 400 SBC bare block that is sitting in my shop.

I am not a big fan of leaving the automatic trans in it, but for the deal; I thought it was pretty decent.
