Default Pro Touring.com is temporarily down

Larry had someone hack into the site. He has backup files, but since he's at work now and it's a fairly long process to re-build the entire database, the site may be down for a day or two, hopefully less.

Since there are many Pro Touring members here, who've probably noticed the site is down, just wanted you to know what's happening and that they have not permanently disappeared.

Could someone please explain to me the purpose of hacking a site??????? Are they looking for personal information ? Do they somehow financially gain from it? Call me dumb what's in it for the hacker?

in this case they deleted all the files. Guess it's fun for them to be able to break into a site and crash it.

Satisfaction in knowing that they are getting revenge for all the times their lunch money was taken and they were given a swirly in the girls bathroom in HS. Unfortunately, living in the basement of their parents house at age 45 won't really give them the audience and recognition they were hoping for.

I wish the authorities could crack down on this stuff and lock these losers up for a while.

Usually it amounts to nothing more than simple vandalism.
