Default project radrambler minor setback

guys

ive officially ended the project.
ive come to realize i just cant achieve the quality of build that i want with this car .
im tired of feeling like im beating my head against a wall with this car.
instead of wasting any more time and money im just gonna take the collection of parts i have and use it on something else.
the lessons ive learned in attempting this build are huge.
thanks for all the support along the way guys.

I don't think you should give up. You're going to bang your head even harder later for not doing it.

Man I hate to hear this! You have worked so hard and I thought the car was already mocked up and would go together fairly easily? What was the final straw? Must be a very tuff decision!

WOW. I am sorry to hear this. I follow most builds on here, but dont usually comment on them. This is one that i have been looking forward to seeing done. You went outside the box and are doing an awesome job with a car that not many people would look twice at. I hope you rethink this and give it another go. However, it is your decision, so whatever you decide in the end, Good luck to you. Again, Nice work on that Rambler!

There must be a rule somewhere that states "You are not allowed to end a project this bitchin'.........." or something like that.

rad, seriously, you are one of the guys that inspired me to start my project!!!!!

I hope you reconsider, or get some counseling, or something.

Your Friend,
--Eric

You can't give up. This will haunt you for the rest of your life and in the end you will find your self at a car show wondering what happened. Don't give up take a break let it sit till the new year. Hope this changes your mind

Rad
That is so sad to hear that, this car of yours is so bitching and you are on the downhill stretch to if I understand your project right. If you had been in Arizona I would have gotten a bunch of guys together to help with it.
Is there any Lateral-G guys close to Rad that can help him with the project?
Just take a couple of weeks of and I think you will be gungho
about the project again it is so cool.

Default last straw

anthony

i have been working to finish body/paint.took it to a friends shop where i have been working on it the last couple weeks .
because he has 30 yrs in this business and truely knows what he is doing. i wanted his direction and knowledge.he agreed to lead me.
which has worked out to this point.
at some point in the cars life it the left qtr had been wrinkled somewhat.i had asked to have him work out the qtr panel and i would do the rest.ive worked on alot of the car .i reached the point where its time to do the qtr and he doesnt have time or doesnt want to, so he had me start working on it.ive spent a couple days working on it .its just above my skill set to do whats needed to make it right. im just over it. i had a similar instance on the suspension change .(long story)i have had to do some things over and some things i had to try and make work with my limited amount of metal working tools and skill set and the car just wont be of the quality i feel i would be happy with.so instead of just making it "look" good to some people knowing myself that its not what i want it to be .im just done .
no more trying to make what can out of what i have either with the car or the money i have .

im not going to be pretending this car is something that its not . i know what really should be done to be true to who i am and what i originally wanted from this build .
im just not a pretender.

Radrambler I'm really sorry to hear you've turned sour on your project. It was very interesting to watch your build. You did some awesome work. I hope you change your mind, we all get disgusted some times. I hope you enjoy what ever you decide to do. Wayne
