Which red? Ferrari used several over the years. Still, a very popular Ferrari red is Rosa Corsa, and you should be able to look it up at any paint shop.

Shiny Side Up!

Default Black Primer

Be aware that you will get a different shade if you dont use a black primer or black primer sealer for your base before spraying the red. I thought this to be BS when I painted a hood for a friends drag vette with actual Ferrari red paint. He told me to be sure and base it in black or it wouldnt match. Time came to shoot it and I had primed it in gray and shot it. Sure enough it looked totally different....thus I had to start over. I have access to a computer that has a paint code and mixing data base. Let me know if you want some later year codes and mixing data. (Dupont)

The Ferrari's official name for the red is ROSA CORSA

It might be code 78L

I will dig around...

The code is in an issue of PHR.. maybe November of last year. Has a yellow charger on the cover and PAINT IT HOT!! as the main blurb.

My OEM paint story has the paint code from PPG in it. That should cross to Sherwin Williams.

I found the story on my HD.. I have paint code 322 down for Rosa Corsa.
