Default turbo info

ok i was thinking of a turbo set up on my malibu. First i need to know can it be done its a 79 malibu with a 87 t.b.i. 350 engine all wired up as a t.b.i. so any good web sites or personal info would be good thanks.

it certainly can be done.. there are a couple of guys on www.maliburacing.com that are running turbos... there´s even ine for sale http://www.maliburacing.com/forum/vi...p?f=33&t=70975 remember its a g-body, just like abuick t-type... so the easiest is propably to swap to a turbo 6...

my money would be on doing a single turbo setup, with the turbo on the passenger side and ditching the TPI computer for a megasquirt while retaining intake etc...

the TPI should be fine for some decent numbers (an accel super ram intake would be better, but you are not moving a bigger volume of air... just bigger air mass since its compressed in the runners....)

with stock compression and some intercooling device/water&meth injection you could run decent (my guess is over 15 lbs) boost and not run into detonation...
