Default 1964 twin-turbo, 6 speed Chevelle for sale

The Chevelle is sold! Or, traded \ sold. The trader \ buyer is a lateral-g member but I will leave it up to him to decide when to let the forum know.

So, thanks to everyone who showed interest in the Chevelle and a special thanks to lateral-g for the use of the for sale forum. Looks like I should exercise the paypal link and make a donation huh?

Take care,
Chris

Hope everyone is well. For those who know me it will come as little surprise that I am selling my latest “trophy car”. I do this. I buy a car; make small or large changes (depending on the car) enjoy it for a while and then sell it to move onto another car. It is a sickness, but I suppose there are worse vices to have. At any rate, I am wanting to sell, or possibly trade for the right car, my 64 twin-turbo, Chevelle. Some of you have seen \ heard this car in person. For everyone else, below are some details on the car as well as a link to many, many pictures of the car. I also have other pictures available including build pictures.

Those are some highlights. I realize pictures would help so here is a link to a picture hosting web site with some pictures of the car:

http://www.fototime.com/inv/ADAB0D302BF7218

To really see these pictures well you need to click on the link and once at the site, click on any one of the pictures to start a slide show of 5 X 8 pictures. Once the slide show starts you can click on any 5 X 8 picture to see it in full screen. Have a good look. Please take a good look at the pictures to really appreciate the type of car this is. This car is absolutely amazing.

This car is an over-the-top show car that hauls ass but is comfortable cruising with the A\C and stereo on. It has about 250 miles on it since completion as I usually haul it to shows (don’t hate, I was just concerned about chipping the paint). At shows, it does very well. Good Guys, Bow Tie-Bash, you name it. The car was selected to be showcased in the Optima Battery booth at the Good Guys show here in CA. just a few months back. The car was featured in the Oct. 2007 edition of Chevy High Performance (5 page spread) and it is a 4 page spread in the summer 08 edition of Chevelle Magazine.

The car was (very) recently appraised by a reputable appraisal company in CA. The company is called Classic Auto Appraiser and their web site is: www.classicautoappraiser.com

They appraised the car at $132,000 and there are pictures of the appraisal on this Internet picture hosting site as well.

So, bottom line: I would like to get $75,000 for the car. Alternatively, if you are interested we can discuss a trade for an 07 – 08 ZO6 or just shoot me your trade ideas. To be completely fair, I would like to disclose that the car does have 1 problem that will corrected before it leaves my garage. The stock hood hinges suck and are starting to bend resulting in poor hood alignment. If you look at the pictures of the car in the magazines or on the Internet hosting site you can see that the panel fit, including the hood, is excellent but now that the hinges are giving up the alignment is a bit off. I am addressing this by buying a set of Fesler’s billet hood hinges. That will not only address the problem but will look cool and last forever.

Give me a call on my cell at (650) 888-7520, shoot me a PM or email me at [email protected]

Thanks and take care,
Chris

Default Chevelle \ Malibu fan

Jody,

Yea, go figure - you a Chevelle \ Malibu fan. I love the car but like the 10 show \ go cars I have had before this one I get bored real fast.

Not sure why my stock hood hinges are starting to give out. They are not about to break and the resulting hood misalignment is not drastic but it was perfect and I want that back. Besides, left alone they may break over the long run. And finally, the new billet hinges will look cool.

Take care,
Chris
