Default FS 572 HP LS2 from Wegner Motorsports

I would like to sell my 572 HP LS2 built by Wegner Motorsports. Features include Wegner CNC cylinder head and cam package, Wegner billet accessory drive (sold by DSE as “Driver One”, including Sanden SD7 A/C compressor, Stewart water pump, ATI damper, power steering with integral reservoir, and Race Proven alternator), baffled pan by Champ Pans, GMPP carburetor intake (can be machined for injectors), Holley 830 NASCAR carburetor, and custom machined coil brackets with coils. These mods total over $8000 in addition to the cost of a stock LS2.

This engine made 572 HP at 6700 RPM and 501 lb/ft torque at 5000 RPM on the engine dyno when it was built. It makes over 475 lb/ft from 4300 all the way up to 6200. It has only been run one short Wisconsin summer and a total of 2500 miles. When I tore the car down for paint, I sent the engine back to Wegner to get it checked over. Given a clean bill of health, they reassembled it using upgraded rod bolts from ARP. This was the only upgrade that my engine did not have vs. the ones they are building now.

This engine is virtually identical to the spec engines that Wegner developed for the Busch North and Busch West (Now the Camping World Series). The only real differences are that the race engines use a front distributor drive and dry sump.

Why do I want to sell? I purchased an L92, 6.2L engine that I would like to build for the car, and one has to go.

$10,500 or reasonable offer. Buyer will be responsible for shipping. Delivery possible under 250 miles.

I would also sell the engine without the intake and carb, and/or without the front accessory drive system and negotiate accordingly.

Let's try another approach. Price for long block only just add your accessory drive, valve covers, pan, coils, ignition, intake, etc.

$6500
