Howdy y'all!! *70 Chevelle*

Hello all. My name is Rob and I live in Central Texas. I've been a "car guy" most of my life and have owned a few over the years. The one car I've always wanted was a '70 Chevelle, preferably with a big block. I am fortunate enough to be able to finally "afford" one (can you really ever afford it??).

I've had a vision of what my car would be for some time now, old school muscle with modern handling and braking. Basically your everyday pro-tour/g-machine. I wanted a car that was already on it's way to being a pro-tour car.

I knew the search would be difficult if not impossible. I looked high and low for a car that called out to me. It just so happened that I found that car.......locally. So, enough of the back story, here are some pics and specs.

It does need very minor body work (no holes or rust) and fresh paint. Those are way down on my list of things that are important though.

Engine - 468, Solid Roller, Jomar girdle, 990 Heads, Edlebrock Endurashine RPM, Holley 850 DP, Hedman Elite Headers, Holley Blue Electric, BG regulator - all Braided fuel line.

Transmission - TKO-600 RAM clutch McLeod Bellhousing - all brand new.

Suspension - Front - all new bushings, SC&C front upper A Arms, Eibach Springs, Koni 3 way adjustable shocks, stock sway bar. Rear - UMI upper adjustable and boxed lower control arms, Rear end narrowed 3 inches, big Ford ends, moser stud girdle.

Brakes - Touring Classics Hybrid C5 Corvette disc kit, New mater, all new stainless brake lines - hard and braided. EBrake works!

Interior - Recaro Seats, Covan dash with Autometer Cobalt gauges - electronic speedo, tach, fuel level, oil pressure, temp, amp. New carpet, decent panels.

Thanks for all the comments, I really appreciate it. There was so much already done to it that I have a great head start, I've been working on some of the smaller details.

The grill was only connected by 2 screws so I put in all new pieces for that, as well as the headlight bezels. Re routed all the inner dash wiring for the fuel pump, ingnition and starter switches. Mounted the battery in the trunk (was just sitting in there loose).

Still need to replace fuel cell with the new stock tank, move fuel pump and filter, connect speedo (hopefully tomorrow), get the alignment done, redo the whole exhaust (minus headers), and tweak the carb.
