Default 2008 Eyes On Design pics....

Some pics from the Eyes On Design show Yesterday. I want to thank Bill and Melinda Howell for the tickets that my Dad and I used; it was very generous of them. Some familiar cars there; Billy Goat, Mule, Tech 9. I really enjoyed the antique vehicles from the 20's and 30's and the sophisticated surfaces of the cars from the 50's. Take a good long look at the features of these body panels, the giant winged quarters, and the broad fascia and bumpers and ornate hood figurines…you will never see cars like this again from the Big Three or any other car manufacturer. I believe these amazing vehicles represent the greatest generation of the American auto industry.

Enjoy.

The link just takes me to a photo bucket home page. Great time till the threat of quarter size hail coming had us all scattering.

Thanks Tony, I didn't get a chance to take any pics before the mad dash from the hail alert. Found out later that they never really got more than a little rain, then sunny the rest of the day. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone stayed around to find out. It was fun while it lasted.

Jeff your car looked great out there. Ya know they say you should never take pics of cars on grass but yours is so nice it pulls it off easily.

My old man spent about 15 minutes going over your car, he couldn't get enough of it and asked me why mine wasn't the same. I told him to open up his checkbook and I'd get busy rectifying that. LOL!!!

I sent you a PM over at PT.com. When they have the North Gratiot cruise you and Jeff should come out and we'll have a few pops in the garage. I'm only a mile away from it.

Oh by the way...I'm getting progress reports on Ray Wojdaki's '69 Camaro. Sounds like it's going to be a beauty.

Looked like a good show. Tony's pictures show a lot of variety - that is alway cool at a good car show.

Question of the day....Can anybody identify the car in image 098 (on page 4)?

They are bad-@ss little cars.
