Default pissed!! car is done, and its a do-over!

ok ive been driving the bu arround for a few weeks to iron out bugs.... and there are so many flaws in the pre-paint prep and fit that its a do-over... not one gap is like i want it.. all the trim needs to be re-fitted, there are small dings and chips from the assembly and panels rubbing (they didnt install any of the bracing) that it will need to come back appart and recieve a total respray!

guess who is pissed!

Sorry to hear that - I had the GTO painted twice, and then spent another $800 on panel alignment and it still isn't as nice as I'd like. I broke my rule on this one of always buying a car that doesn't need paint.

been there done that with paint jobs. It's tough, but hang in there. When you get the car the way you want it, it will all be worth it.

Here's what happened to my first paint job in the garage. I used the wrong clear on the second coat. Of course it wasn't completely my fault, the paint shop sold me the wrong kind for the temp I was spraying at. (too cold?)

I feel for you, I had a guy shoot some graphics on a car, and he used Laquer on top of urathane, and I was doing a spot repair sand thru the 2 coats and blew the laquer paint right off the car with the air gun.. I **** when I seen that..

first of all.. rocketman.. that puts it in perspective.. now thats a do-over if i have ever seen one... the bad thing is that mu paint is acyually great its the pre paint prep that blows large ones...

how does it run.. it corners just like its in freakin rails... it will hang with exotics in long corners.... but since im still running my wimpy smallbloch and havent installed the LS yet... it still leaves somthing to be desired,, i mean it will stop on a dime and turn like a lotus.. but it accelerates like a yugo!
