Default Black braided AC line ?

Does anyone know who makes a black braid (metal or nylon) that will work with the high PSI of AC ?

I really want to use all the same line under the hood and would prefer black over the stainless........

Also, black AC fittings ? Only found the Aeroquip chrome ones......

Will that handle over 350PSI ?

Everything I found in the Russell catalog was only rated to 350PSI....

aeroquip makes a like called aqp higher pressure hose, its cloth braided, but its a dark blue.you could always use normal s/s braid and cover it with woven black sleeving and shrink wrap it by the connectors if you cant find black.

Hello all,
This is finally my first time posting. I've seen a couple posts on plumbing issuse recently. Plumbing is my main specialty. A/C lines are a touchy subject. What i've found to be the best is just use your typical connections from any of the aftermarket a/c companys. Take alittle time and lay thinks out as far as position and angles go assemble the ends and take them to a local shop or ship them and get the ends crimped. Blacking the ends out is my prefurred method and have found out the best way is to tape the hose off at the ends plug or cap the ends and sand blast off the gold erdit finish. Then paint it with SEM satin black bumper paint. If done properly this stuff sticks like nobuddys buisness. The other types of hose you are talking about aren't desined for a/c because it will bleed throught the hose. The areoquip hose is the ownly hose in the buisness designed for a/c. The teflon line used in the hydroboost systems appear to be the same but will also bleed through like the other hoses and also there ends in my opinion are very ugly!! So your best suited useing the orignal style a/c ends. Tried and true and alittle patience will always look the best. Check out my web site and look at the chevelle pics in the gallery and tell me what you guys thinkl of the a/c lines. I also just put on a hydroboost and used shrink tubing over the lines because I also wanted the black look.
