Long time lurker but finally have something worth making my first post on. Just picked up a 1968 Plymouth Road Runner. The car was an original 383 burgundy car that now has a brand new 440 - 6bbl setup mated to a Hurst 4-spd tranny and a fresh coat of triple black paint. A new '69 NASCAR-style fiberglass hood has also been fitted - I just like the look of this hood much better then the '68 although I know I'm going to offend some purists!
Other then the new engine the car has been put back together as it was in '68. Currently the car has the stock suspension and is sitting on 275/60/R15s in the rear and 235/60/R15s in the front.
Plans in the short term are new front/rear sway bars, new torsion bars and hopefully in the next month or so a complete Air-Ride suspension system with new front disc brakes. When the suspension and brakes are updated she'll get some new 18" forged shoes.

GREAT LOOKING CAR!!! Mean-looking. Good choice with the hood. I would have gone the same route you did.

Thanks so much for the comments. I'm pretty stoked on the condition of the car as it currently sits although I know there's a TON I can do to improve it.
I'm intrigued by the wheels on Hammer and have been looking at something like that although I'm not going to run 19s/20s on my car......it'll probably be all 18s. Been looking at some of the Rushforth wheels too.
First thing is definitely new poly bushings and probably front/rear sway bars. From there I want to evaluate how the car handles and responds and decide the next best step.
