Default LS2 402- Carb vs. EFI

402 LS2 carb vs. EFI

Going with a 402 Ls2- 6 speed. I have a set of RHS 210cc heads.

Going carburated would be easier since I do not have harness for this set up. What are the advantages/disadvantages going with the Edelbrock system rather than EFI.

Thanks!
Marcus

I haven't done any research for the hard numbers for this, but I would think that all of the hardware required to convert to carb would be almost as much as a custom wiring harness, not to mention a second hand one out of a f-body or something.

The drivability is going to be better with the EFI.

Unless you REALLY have a personal preference for a carb setup, I don't see any reason to take the motor backwards in technology. It's about the same amount of work either way.

Default IGN-8 LS-X Ignition

There are many reasons to do both, so we do. The ECU-IGN-8-(x), is a perfect ignition for a carb'd LS engine.

I fit the GMPP "spider" intake (in-stock). This intake is GOOD for high HP, BUT short on low end torque.

Check-out "WaterThunder.com" as they use the "combo" to chase Gator's

I have been talking to Texas speed and said that it's mainly personal prefrence but said that carb set up actually flow alot more.
