Default iForged Wheels

Anyone know anybody at iForged or have suggestions for my situation? I ordered and pre-paid for a set of wheels for my project - filled out their required order form, provided exact specifications, prepaid, did all they required. The rear wheels they shipped were built with the wrong back spacing. I informed them within an hour of recieving the wheels of the problem. I've been going back and forth with the sales dept for near 2 weeks and they refuse to do anything other than provide spacers - which the literature included with the wheels specifically warns against. If back spacers were an option for my project I would not have provided specs or paid the kind of prices they charge. I'm surprised that they refuse to make this right, they made the mistake and acknowledge it based on their offer to provide the backspacers at no charge. Anyone have ideas???

Sorry to hear about your wheels..... I would charge back the payment to your CC, if that is how you paid. The reason being you did not receive what you ordered. If you tell them this, it might make them do the right thing and correct the wheels for you, in fear that they might have a charge back. I am sure they don't want them returned, and then have a custom set of wheels sitting in stock.

return the wheels you received. Make sure you have a tracking number. Once delivered, print out the delivery confirmation and signature. Call credit card company and dispute the charge.

How big was the mistake?

Sounds like you have a legit reason to dispute the charge with your CC company or perhaps in small claims court.

I'm sure your bummed. That's always a fun time in a project. Stay positive and good luck.

They used the backspacing from the front for the back also - off 5/8" each wheel. Far enough - not really too crazy about 5/8" more spacing on my big dollar brakes if I would agreed to take their wheel spacers. I had also planned on ordering another set of wheels for my truck but will look for alternatives based on how this is being handled. They also specifically warn not to use spacers in all of their own literature - and this is the solution they offer??

I've read about people having this very problem with Iforged in the past. They know there is a problem, try to pass off a band-aid fix with a spacer, yet that's NOT what you paid for.

Return the wheels. What was delivered was not what was ordered or purchased. For the price of these wheels, it's not acceptable.

Sadly I've heard the same story time and time again with iForged as well.

Return the wheels to their doorstep, and dispute it with your credit card.

Make sure that you require a signature for delivery along with the tracking number. I have heard horror stories that the tracking info shows to be delivered but no signature was required and the company claims they must have been left outside the door and were stolen.
Also take pictures of each stage of packing and when you drop them off with the shippers do not let them try the excuse "what we received was damaged and are no longer responsible for refunding anything"
Protect your self every way possible.

I'd probably knock on there door with the wheels in hand.........

I always thought the "hi-end" wheel companies were good about this stuff, because of the prices they charge

Appreciate everyone's input - after bringing up returning the wheels as you all suggested I was able to speak with someone else other than sales. Just got off the phone with them, wasn't completely pleasant but I was able to get a credit I'm satisfied with. I'll be able to make the adjustment the right way and move forward. Thanks again to all.
