Im a bit confused looking at this. Can any one explain to me why DSE spaced the z bar bracket off the surface of the rails, or Is it just a function of the design of there sub. Are they all set up like this or is the z bar a longer piece? - Thanks Rich

Looks like it is there to clear the u-joint on the stearing shaft. Just my .02...

The frame is made to run a 275mm as well. I am sure the frame rail is closer to the middle of the car at that point.

Really??? That's a some interesting information. I didn't realize DSE changed the design of the frame that extensively.

I have the same frame in my car........I looked at the photos and I think it's due to a narrower frame rail.

Thats a stock z-bar in the stock location. I've used two of them without any problems. The frame rail at that point is just that much more narrow than stock. The stand off allows you to bolt it on with nuts from behind.

good info- Thanks, Im gonna assume that when you purchase the sub from DSE, it comes with the stand-off bracket already welded in place?

That's correct. All of their subs have the bracket welded on.

Actually they don't. Mine does not have one. I am going to bolt on my Z Bar bracketry.

When you order the sub you have to specify with or w/o.
