Default Monte Carlo SS brake set-up

Hi guys,

Need a little help with my brake set up for my '83 Monte Carlo SS. This is a car that will see ALL street driving, and will be taken on the Power tour in 2008. I can't decide between Baer Serious Street plus or SSBC quick change aluminum calipers and factory replacement slotted rotors. My suspension will mostly likely consist of Spohns tubular control arms and sway bars, hotchkis springs, bilstein shocks, and belltech 2" drop spindles. The wheels are Centerline 17X8 in the front with 4.5" backspacing. This car isn't going to be an extreme pro-touring ride just mild. I just want the best bang for my buck. I'm a 19 yr old student and I work full time also, so I'm on a limited budget. I have $ 1700 at most to spend on brakes. Any suggestions would be great, or if you sugget another brand or setup.

thanks, andy
