Default Ford Freak From Far Away

Hi guys,
Came across this very cool site and thought that my fastbacks might qualify to be shown off in a pro-touring environment...

First one is my '66 that started out wanting to make into a Shelby clone. Then I added a Paxton (that though was avalible as an option back then), but then came MSD ignition, aluminum rad, TCP rack and pinion, Global West tubular front end and 16 inch AR's.

Now I've decided to go for a set of 17 x 8 Vintage 45's, and if the standard brakes are going to look small under there I'll get me a set of Willwoods and then I suppose I could pass it on as a mild pro-touring??

My next project is a '67 Eleanor... AND NOW I BET YOU'RE THINKING: "Oh yeah, slap on the E-kit, the TCP gear and some black stripes, and then you believe you've created a true restomod or a pro-touring"

But I've decided to go a bit exreme (in Eleanor terms anyway) so we're talking: 800 HP 401cui engine from DSS (NOVI2000 fed and fuel injected), Griggs Racing suspension including 4 link mini-tub'ed rear with 17 x 13 custom made wheels.

It will appear original Eleanor on the outside, but under the skin she will be quite her own.

For more pics go HERE

Peace

Thanks guys,
Scott, just been checking your super cool HRE wheels they really look awesome...

In my crest to make my rears I had to call on the BBS racing division in Germany and they suplied me with a forged pair of inners I then had welded to my PS wheels, and the machine shop did a super job.

The only pair of 17 x 13's on the block..

Nice project!! What tires are you going to put on those wheels? Or do you have on there?
Welcome aboard!

Those are 315/35-17 A032R Yoko's
I'm also going to use the car for track days, so I wanted a tire for going round those turns...

351W stroked 401" in the new DART block with DSS custom pistons.
AFR 225 heads and a Paxton NOVI 2000, should make her able breahte... don't you think??
On the injection I haven't made my mind up yet, but I think I'll go with Electromotive
