Steve
How did you mount your Safecraft fire extinguisher on your seat track? Did you use Safecraft seat bracket or did you fab your own? If you fabbed your own pics
would be helpfull. Also how hard is it to adj seat and is it comfortable for passenger.
Thanks Vin

Sorry for the delay but I've been laid up with a cold..

I made a cardboard template for a plate and took that to my water-jet cutter. The plate bolts to the two front seat bracket bolts and has a 3x4" tab on it.

I then bolted the Safecraft extinguisher to that tab. Oh, I bent the tap on a brake to get the right angle. I will try to take some pics in the next couple of days. I want to revise the design and have that water jet guy cut out a few new ones. He will then have the design on file and anyone can call and get one cut out.

It is not in the way of the passenger at all, easy to adjust the seat.

Steven

Thanks Steve hope you feel better. This winter all my upgrades have been for safety. One is a fire extinguisher that I can reach and not the one in the trunk. Yours is mounted in a great spot and I would like to do the same thing.
Thanks Vin

Hey Steve, you have an excellent idea.

I think Goodies Speed Shop was just having a sale on extinguishers, too.

Here it is. It's just plate alum I had cut to a template at my water jetter. I then drilled the hole and rounded the edges. After that I attached the plate for the Safecraft extinguisher. Oh the "tongue" is offset one inch and was bent down towards the floor just a bit.

I'm going to fine tune the design and then anyone can call my cutter and have a few churned out.

Depending on your extinguisher you can offset the tounge either way so that it mounts in the middle of the seat (for looks).

Post pics when your's is done. It's a real handy place to mount the extinguisher.

Yea, and only cost maybe $10 to make.. depending on the what lever you have for your seats you could even suck it in closer to the seat. My final design will be 1/4 inch closer to the seat and slightly more offset.
