well actual physical dimensions of a gt35 isnt THAT bad. Granted your hemi is a wide motor and packaging any pair of turbos is gonna be a headache but a gt35 compressor cover is pretty much the same size as any other to4e sized cover, the inlet however is freakin monstrous and looks like it can suck up small kittens and possibly the dog chasing it

the GT turbo though can on average produce more power throughout the rpm range than an equivalent T series journal bearing turbo. Trade off there for most people is cost since a GT is normally about 3x more expensive not to mention cannot be repaired, so if you do happen to eat up poor fluffy and your turbine or compressor feel get bent up or an unfortunate situation where you starve those guys oil and cook the center section, you get to buy a full new turbo. Thats not the case with the T series. Personally I dont mind the journal turbos cause in my world I can find better ways to spend my money, however, in the world of 800+ hp, a few grand is probably not gonna make as big a dent in your pocket when you consider the upsides versus the downsides of running the dual ball bearing GT turbos. I say run what I suggested and get creative on where you stick em.
