Default Anyone using an AED carb????

just bought a 850 CFM double pumper for my 406
Im tired of the demon carb junk.
I heard good things about AED and wanted to hear it from you guys.
I got everything but the kitchen sink on it and even had it coated.
I hope it performs as good as it looks.

I've been running a Speed Demon carb (too small for my combo) and other than annoying leaks when I first installed it I haven't had any problems the couple years it's been on there. I was going to order a bigger one probably a 750. Why didn't you like the Demon? which one was it? Problems?

We have an 850 on the 496 in my brothers car. Works awesome! We have a pretty mild setup and the motor still made 515hp and 560tq. Our motor guy uses some custom built carb for break in. The 850 AED made 1 less hp and 6 more tq. Pretty good for over the counter!

I just wish they had a choke...

Well, you're in the wrong forum. Maybe you'd get more responses by putting your question in the appropriate place.

With all due respect, you posted a question about a carb (and not in the engine forum BTW) and ask if anyone has used one, and when 32 out of 5000 members look at your post without responding, you get agitated and start to question the members of the forum? Did you ever think that perhaps the 32 people haven't USED an AED carb? So they don't have anything valuable to add? or perhaps you would like all of them to say "No, haven't used one" 32 times. You need to realize that sometimes responses take time, and usually people who have something valuable to add will respond. If they don't, well I guess "this forum" may not be able to answer your question in a timeframe that is acceptable to you.

What 61 said X 2. This is a very civil forum. Generally we don't get too excited over posts like yours. Chill out or switch to decaf, dude. Wrong forum, wrong attitude, maybe wrong site for impatience.

Have a nice day.
