Cool 77 vette overdrive

is there anyone out with experience with richmond 6-sp installed in an older vette? the transmission in question is out of a 97 firebird and the shifter appears to be close to the proper location. is this possible?

If it's a RICHMOND 6-speed, it is very much a bolt on job. I thought firebirds used T56 Tremec 6-speeds...?
