Default My El Camino Finally Back On The Ground!

Hey guys, thought I would post an update on my car. I am damn near finished with a "Pro-Touring" conversion on my El Camino. I converted the drums to Wilwood discs (6 piston front/4 piston rear), added a narrowed Moser 9" with Tru-Trac and 3:70 gears, Global West trailing arms, QA1 coil overs/shocks, and Forgeline VR3P's. For all of the big ticket items, I want say thank you to Frank and Lisa Sarafin at Prodigy Customs/GP Superstore for all of their help, probably wouldn't have happened without you guys!

nice ride .. looks sharp. Did you go with manual brakes, booster, or hydroboost? I got the same/similar brake set up from GP Superstore .. just a ways of from putting body back on frame. Curious on what you did and how it performs. I know at some point I have to figure out the lines hook up etc.

I am using the factory brake booster w/ a Wilwood MC. To be honest with you, the car has made it as far as the end of the driveway so I have not been able to see how they perform. I plan on getting a few miles on it this weekend to bed the pads and brake in the ring/pinion gears.

That looks awsome

I know you had said before that you used 3" drop coils in rear, but what did you do on front?

I used 3" drop springs in the rear, however, I think I need to go to 2" drop springs (which was suggested in the first place). The front has stock a-arms, and QA-1 adjustable coil overs.
