Default The Nova finally took a Dump!

Sunday morning Sept 22 around 1:30AM the Nova decided it was time to take a dump on me. There was a sudden noise not much different than the sound of a tire tread separating. I quickly checked my gauges and pulled off to the shoulder. I then did a quick inspection for any leaks/trails, thrown belts, missing parts etc. Nothing. I became increasingly worried when i got in and she crankes really fast. On top of that the girlfriend was pretty pissed and according to her "going to make me sell this piece of crap Nova" and it even started raining(it NEVER rains in Arizona!!)
the next moring i tore her apart discovering a broken crank gear key. Long story short I just completed the top end rebuild i had been meaning to do!! Hey I had a good excuse, the Nova is my daily driver!
i installed a set of aluminum 190/64cc heads with 2.02/1.60 valves, dual springs and guideplates,1.5 Stainless roller rockers, an Isky cam 465 lift 221dur @.050 and 108 lobe separation. now i just need to build a better bottom end tranny and rear end!!
Heres some pics:

Hmmm... the only advice I have for you is that you need to find a new girl friend..

My thoughts exactly! Way to turn a bad situation into an excuse to install aluminum heads though. Should have traded her for them!

I am sure the crank hit a few valves in the process. Bending the valves and some pushrods. I had a girlfriend like that once. Everytime I would tear into my car we broke up. Glad she's down the road especially since I am gettting ready to tear into a real project.
