Default wheels and handling

What rim size is best for handling. i am close to finishig mu PT-malibu and i am now running a set of less than prety BMW rims.. and i am windering what wheelsize to buy.. the minimum wheelsize i can fit as dictated by mt C5 my front brakes is 17inches, and the maximum rimsize is about 19 inches and by then ill be getting into somthing like: front tire: 245 35 19 and the rear: 275 30 19.. this looks cool, but what does it do for handling? and do they make sticky tires that size?? are 18´s a good compromize, or should i stick with 17 inch tires and get the taller sidewall?

i havent mounted the turbosystem yet so i have about 320 rwhp, and hoping to bump this to arround the 550 mark next spring, the specifics of the car are listed in my sig. but its about as close to a road couse car as i could get it while keeping it streetlegal. so performance over looks...
