Default Buttonwillow Open Track Day

Well..........I finished a big project for my business and the customers were ecstatic with the work I did so I thought I would treat myself to a day off running hot laps! Buttonwillow was having an open track day so Rodger loaded up his Mustang GT and we flogged it around the track!

Morning Crew! (L - R Rodger, Jeremy, Jason)

Rodger coming out of the last turn onto the front straight!

Rodger hitting 130 mph down the front straight!

Me waiting in the Hot Pits for the steward to wave me on!

Down the front straight at 110 mph! I gotta work on being faster than Rodger so that when we finish the car I can smoke him in the corners! My car will be faster than his down the straights but he's a better driver than me through the corners so he'll smoke me in the corners!

Up the backstraight at 120 mph!

Thanks for letting me drive your car Rodger! I had a great time!

John

Wish I could have taken up the invite but I had to get the Fairlane ready for her engine transplant..

Hopefully the next one, it's been WAY too long since I've been to Buttonwillow.. love that track (since even a knucklehead like me can't find anything to hit... lol).

Don't worry Steve! I still have the lovely dirt taste in my mouth from spinning the car out on turn one and being enveloped in a nice cloud of BW dirt!
