Default I'm new here, Hi all. (pics of my junk inside)

I just joined the site and thought I would say hi.

I've got a '65 corvette and just purchased my 13 year old son a '80 Z28. The Z28 is completely stock and only has 59,000 original miles. My son and I will be giving it a fresh paint job and upgrading the suspension and wheels to give it a little more pro-touring feel. Here's a couple of pictures:

Me like the Camaro... Love the red interior. Enclosed is my interior to my 1969 GTO Judge.

Looks great. Got my first car at age 13 too. Still got it. Changed my life.

He will be 14 in a few months so we have a little over a year to get it ready (learning permits at 15 in Louisiana). He's excited about it and I figure it will be a great way to spend some time with him and teach him a craft that he can use for the rest of his life.

We are going to repaint the car, replace the seat covers, carpet, and weather stripping. The engine compartment needs to be freshened up, so we will spend some time cleaning up under the hood. We've been searching the WWW trying to figure out which wheels he wants.(thats actually how I found this site) I think we will likely go with a 17 or 18" wheel. He likes the polished lip/gray center look.

Welcome !

Looking to adopt any 'older' kids ?????

My friend had an 80 Z28 350/4spd, our senior year in high school - Charcoal exterior with white cloth interior. We warmed up the 350 with all the standard speed parts at the time, headers, a good dual exhaust and bigger tires all the way around - that car was a BLAST ! He went through a few sets of tires road racing that car - it's pretty heavy. Great memories !

C2 vettes are always cool - nuf said...

No really, Looking to adopt an 'older' kid ?????

Love the 80z! I'm got an 81z that I'm working on right now. Good to see the late 2nd gens are starting to show up.
