Default DETROIT TRUETRAC Changing gears

My original thought was to get a 9 inch moser. that way I would be able to change gears pretty easy if I was going on a long tour. Now most people are telling me to go with a 12 bolt true trac set up. is it easy to change the gears as the 9". I'm running a LS1/4L60

No. If you're talking about having a spare center section lying around to pop in the 9".

But why change with the OD?
