Default Correct location for bullet mirrors?

Can someone give me the distance from the front edge of the door to the base of mirror? My door have been welded smooth and no idea how far the mirrors should come.

Does the driver side door still have the big hole in it for the remote cable?

If so, I always start on the DS door first and use that hole as a referance for the center of the morror base, then move to the PS door.

If this is on a '67 camaro the mirror has to be moved back some as the wing window get in the way.
