My new project, "The Bird"
Heres my newest project i picked up today, a 68 firebird, not sure on the direction i will go with the car just yet, but i do know that first things first, cage, some sheetmetal replacement and tie the car together, any input is greatly appreciated. Chuck

What type of driving do you want to do with it?

I'd like to do a fairly "budget" build focus on braking, chassis, suspension components first, as far as driving, I live in NW Arkansas so the tracks are slim around these parts,

If it were mine? Head/Cam LS swap, 6 speed manual, then focus on suspension/braking. Looks like fun, hoping to get my dad's 69z done someday.

Funny you say that, cuz if got a 70 nova as well with Heads and cammed LS1 and a 6 speed, with a Strange 9 inch, 4 linked 4:30's, it's super fun, but I want this one to be Much more!!!!

That is a nice project Charles. Have you seen Lenny's black Firebird on here? Its called Foul Play. Very nice car.
Also, have you seen Budniks Road wheel G series wheels? I like the ones below.

BTW. We have Heartland Park in Topeka. Thats not too terribly far away. And Id swear i remember AutoX in Springfield?
